Elgato Released HDHomeRun Network Tuner
May 17th
Elgato released the HDHomeRun. The HDHomeRun is a dual network that streams HDTV to your Mac or WIndows machine. It plugs into ethernet and can stream 2 different stations wirelessly to your computer. If you are using a Mac the tuner comes with EyeTV 3 software. I have been using the EyeTV 3 software with an eyeTV 250 plus and it has been great to record shows and dump them into iTunes. It just doesn’t have some of the advanced features like Windows Media Center has. But if you get the HDHomeRun it will wok on both platforms which can be a plus if you are experimenting with different media center solutions. Price is $180.00
Smart Case for the iPad 2
Apr 6th
Every since I got the iPad 2 with the Smart Cover I wanted something to protect the back. While there are cases on the market there aren’t any that work with Smart Cover. I new case from AViiQ protects the back while still using Apple’s Smart Cover. They also come in matching colors so the front and back of your iPad will match. Price isn’t terrible at $50.

Nov 18th
TJ Maxx will be offering the iPad on Black Friday for $100 off. I’m sure there will be limited quantities but getting a iPad for $399 will surely bring big crowds. Why aren’t others doing door busters like this.

There is a open source driver available. Not a lot you can do with it now but the hacker community could surprise us with some cool apps.
