Microsoft Kinect Running on OS X
Nov 11th
A week after Microsoft released the Kinect for the Xbox 360 it has been hacked to work with Linux and Mac OS X. The video below is a demo of Kinect running on Mac OS X. There is a open source driver available. Not a lot you can do with it now but the hacker community could surprise us with some cool apps.

Build a Mac Tablet Out of an Old MacBook
Oct 5th
This is one of those projects that I really like. You have a old, slightly damaged, MacBook that you turn into a tablet. The parts don’t cost that much but it’s the time and craftsmanship that make the final product great. You can follow the entire build process at Enigma-Penguin. I have also embedded a video below for you to check out.

Add Verizon MiFi to iPad
Jun 16th
If Apple won’t build you a Verizon iPad than you can just make one yourself. Well I wouldn’t suggesting doing it yourself unless you want to void your warranty and know what your doing. Over at dishtvhdstore he installed a Verizon MiFi inside of an iPad. It was actually very well done and he got it to fit with just minor changes inside. Check out the link above for all the details.
